Northside Park is the largest and busiest park in the region. Almost 60 acres await with entertainments. Competitions are held on the lighted soccer field, softball and baseball diamonds. Folks meander along the footbridge and on the piers. Anglers cast out in the fishing lagoon in hopes of catching the big one. Concession stands are on hand for hungry tummies, and many a youngster stops by after rambunctious frolicking on one of two playgrounds. Workouts are completed on the outdoor fitness equipment. And, a community center hosts a variety of recreation classes. The lending library beckons bookworms and various sitting areas make cozy spots for settling in for a good read.
